Running and Halloween: All About the Costumes

This blog began when I signed 8 of my kids up for a Halloween 5K this year. Taking running clothes, adding costumes so it's fun and comfortable can be challenging. Prepped and Ready for My Next Half Marathon

I'm training for a half marathon. Usually, I pick one, sign up (it's all about accountability), and then I have my date and my goal. I used to have a group I ran with at my old job. When I lost the job, I lost my friends too, so now I train alone. Sometimes my husband or my kids jump in for 3 miles but for the most part I'm by myself. Running on Location: Dragonflies, Moose and Bears - Oh My!

I am in Alaska for the first time in over 6 years, visiting a dear friend and testifying in a trial. A trial that turns my stomach, makes a non-cryer breakdown and sob. It is a necessity to be here and I feel privileged to be able to. But it is heart-wrenching.
